Air Force PFRA Calculator & Standards
The U.S. Air Force Physical Fitness Readiness Assessment (PFRA), effective 1 March 2026, scores four components out of 100: a cardio event (2-mile run or 20-meter HAMR), the waist-to-height ratio, an upper-body event (push-ups or hand-release push-ups), and a core event (sit-ups, cross-leg reverse crunch, or plank).
The four components
- Cardio (50 pts): 2-mile run or 20-meter HAMR.
- Waist-to-height ratio (20 pts).
- Upper body (15 pts): push-ups or hand-release push-ups.
- Core (15 pts): sit-ups, cross-leg reverse crunch, or plank.
How it is scored
Cardio is worth up to 50 points, the waist-to-height ratio 20, upper body 15, and core 15 — a composite out of 100. The standard passing score is 75, and you must also clear each component's minimum.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Air Force PFRA?
The Physical Fitness Readiness Assessment (PFRA) is the U.S. Air Force's fitness test, effective 1 March 2026. It scores four components — cardio, waist-to-height ratio, upper body, and core — for a composite out of 100.
What events can I choose on the Air Force PFRA?
Cardio: the 2-mile run or the 20-meter HAMR shuttle. Upper body: 1-minute push-ups or 2-minute hand-release push-ups. Core: 1-minute sit-ups, the cross-leg reverse crunch, or the forearm plank. Waist-to-height ratio is measured for everyone.
What is a passing Air Force PFRA score?
The standard passing composite is 75 out of 100, and you must also meet the minimum in each component. Cardio is the largest component at 50 points.
Is this an official Air Force PFRA calculator?
No. This is an independent reference. The calculator gives an unofficial estimate using the published USAF PFRA scoring charts (public domain); it does not score official assessments.
